I'm now 17 and never suffered from acne problems except an occasional pimple. However over the past few months my chest and back have had acne and my forehead has had raised skin colored bumps that develop into pimples. As for him leaving...when he leaves and you both tell him good bye, then say "see you later!" instead of just bye. You could also get a calendar and circle the date that he's coming home...and mark out the day that you just finished...you could also do that with your daughter as well. It would help with any questions about when she gets to see him, because you would talk about every day when you get to see him.

Cant get my KA-BAR (knife) sharp?

I just cant get the thing sharp for the life of me. It is the USMC Fighting knife with the plain 7" blade. I have an Arkansas medium/fine stone and a Spyderco Sharp Maker and I can only get it sharp enough to where it barely cuts paper. It doesn't make a clean cut. I have sharpened my six other knives successfully with both methods. I can get them sharp enough to easily shave your arm hair. But not the KA-BAR. It came with a pretty crummy edge and I sharpened it as soon as I took it out of the box which made it a lot better. I just cant get that razor sharp edge that I want. I've spent probably three hours total messing with the thing. I am considering grinding a new edge on it at this point. Anyone know what the deal is?

Before you install any kind of hardware you need to learn the basics. The graphics card doesnt care about system memory, but it has its own memory on the card. What you need to pay very careful attention to is your AGP slot and what the card requires. If the card requires an AGP 8x pro and you have an AGP 3x-8x card, then the card and your computer are not compatible. Trying to use an 8x pro card in your slot could damage both the card and your computer.

Should I retire at age 61 and 37 years of work?

I've been teaching art for 37 years and I'm 61 years old. I can't decide if I want to retire. There are good and bad things about teaching, some things I like, some things I don't. I'm making a decent salary finally, and as teachers we have great hours and many vacation days. I'm weary of some of the things teachers have to put up with like discipline, bad attitudes,lots of paperwork, and disrespectful students. However, I really like the kids who are nice and want to learn (too few of them). I guess my greatest fear is the unknown if I do retire now. I don't have family where I live, no grandchildren or such. I'd like to pursue a career in artistic painting, but that's a long shot in many ways. My fear is that I won't have enough to do, or won't feel wanted or needed. I could see how I might get depressed not seeing other people like I do at work. Another factor is that my partner is younger than me and has to work. So it will all change how we live, and I guess that kind of scares me. How does a person know when it's time to quit one job and move on to something else? I'll take a pay cut, but I feel I can make it on retirement and social security. When is enough, enough? I'd like to do some volunteer work or maybe get a part-time job. In many ways, I'm tired of what I've done for 37 years, and yet, I don't mind going to work. I like goig to work. Does any one have any suggestions?

I had my baby 5 and a half months ago, and when he was around 4 or 5 weeks once i stopped bleeding, i started getting this really weird discharge that was kind of a yellowish color, it had a sticky texture, and smelled SO bad like i wouldn't be able to uncross my legs when i was sitting next to somebody or they would smell it, and i would have to change my underwear twice sometimes 3 times a day because my body would produce so much of it. then about 3 weeks ago it all of a sudden stopped doing that, and now my discharge is white and creamy and doesnt smell bad. i thought it was so strange how it randomly changed like that and i didnt take any medicine to fix it. and for the past couple days i have been suspecting that i am pregnant. and i have not started my periods again yet. and i had unprotected with my husband on june 1st, he didnt come but it was still unprotected, and the past few days i have been feeling nauseous off and on, a little dizzy, and whenever im feeding my son my hurt and are really sensitive and it hasnt always been like that, and the last time i went pee was 2 and half hours ago, and i havent drank anything since and right now i feel like im gonna pee my pants. so im thinking...do you think maybe my discharge changed because i could be pregnant?

Really tough choice... what would you choose?

So, in a few weekends there's two events going on that I can't decide on. On one hand, there's this really fun church trip for only seniors that is held on an island in California, so there's going to be beaches, relaxation, a bunch of new people that I want to become friends with, and a TON of fun things to do. Plus I would fly up a day late with a girl that I REALLY want to get to know better, if that makes sense. On the other hand, there's my club swim team banquet on the same weekend. I've been on this swim team for 9 years (most of my life) and I have a lot of close friends on the team. I'm a senior this year so it's my last banquet. Seniors are celebrated, so I would get a scrapbook with photos of all these great memories made by all the juniors and I would be talked about up on stage and whatnot. Which would you choose? I should also tell you that swimming has always caused me to miss things that I wanted to do all my life (because of swim meets mostly), and just recently swimming made me miss an earlier church trip that I also really wanted to go on, and that same girl was also going on. I also feel like missing the banquet wouldn't be THAT big of a deal (it's about the memories I've had with my swim friends after all, not some big banquet, right?) but I also feel like I would be betraying all my close friends on the team, especially because it's my last one and I'm a senior and I'll be leaving for college next year. And I'm not saying that the banquet wouldn't be fun, it would, but this church trip would be more fun, and I REALLY want to go on it. This decision is tearing me apart, what would you choose?

I know you are not suppose to have anything with iodine in it, crustaceans, etc. after the removal of a thyroid. I am interested in what actually happens if someone ingests iodine or has it used as a topical cleaner for a wound. How toxic is it? Do i need to balance out my diet?

You are getting quite a lot of protein from the eggs, the turkey, the cheese and the chicken. This should be enough each day unless you are a bodybuilder or weightlifter. A good idea is to buy a bag of mixed nuts and raisins as you will get extra protein from the nuts and you will be getting some fruit from the raisins. You are getting what looks like 5 portions of fruit and veg a day, but you could cut up a banana and have it with your breakfast if you want more. For dinner you could try adding more variety into your salad such as peppers, raddishes, onions, mushrooms etc. You can get them ready washed and sliced from the supermarket so they are really quick to prepare. And you can also buy packs or tins of fruit salad to have after to really increase your fruit intake. Plus they are really low calorie so they wont increase your calorie intake significantly. Hope this helps =)

Hitler did died in the bunker in Berlin, but there were stories/rumours that he escaped to South America where a lot of German people lived. The stories/rumours said he had plastic surgery to change his looks, others that he just stayed in hiding till the day he died. I tend to think he did not escape as no matter where he was hiding, someone would have betrayed him if enough money had been offered.

Why do I do this?

Alright when I was a kid I had a routine for going to bed, I had to brush my teeth, wash my face a certain way, use mouth wash, say good night to my mom a certain way, close my door the right way then get into bed and go to sleep. The thing is if I messed up in this routine I would have to start all over again from the beginning or I could not sleep. This went away after some "training." Recently that kind of stuff is happening again. But this time its different, I still have to close my door a certain way and only I can do it or it will bother me for hours. If my hand gets hit or hurt I have to hurt the other hand for I don't know symmetry or something. Or if I get cut I can't stop touching I don't know why. I think the weirdest one is when I get like a craving to say a word, it can be any word but it has to have a certain sound, like the "c h" sound. Question about planting bulbs?

I plant my tulips and daffodils in clumps spaced throughout my beds. I dig a hole and put in 5 bulbs in a circle with 1 in the middle. I space them about 3 inches apart. Tulips come in early medium and late varieties. I mostly use the early varieties. When they are finished blooming I remove the dead flowers and let the foliage die back to feed the bulbs. I pick one spreading annual --usually petunias and I plant 3 or 4 of them around--not on top --of where my bulbs are planted. I cut off the dead bulb foliage when it's brown and the petunias spread over where the bulbs are and you never know they are there in the summer. The bonus is that if you have to dig up the bulbs in the fall for some reason you know exact;ly where they are.

I have a cat and 2 canaries, i have found as long as the cats food dish is full he is less likely to har the birds, also you could try setting up a bird feeder in the window for the cat, kind of like a diversion. i t is instinct though for a cat to stalk birds. I wouldn't get a cage on a stand cause the cat may knock it over and the birds could get hurt or the cage could come apart making the birds an easy target, try hanging the cage from the ceiling, good luck!

Doctor 'froze' a mole, got bigger?

I went to the doctor complaining of a little bump that showed up in my pubic area. (No it's not any kind of STD, doc confirmed it) anyway, it was most likely caused by a waxing I had. So he recommended to cut it off, then he looked at it under a microscope and suggested freezing. I was at the gyno for my yearly and showed it to her, she suggested cutting it off but I'd have to schedule a diff appointment. In the meantime I already had an appointment with my reg. doctor and he went ahead and froze it off. Four days later, the skin around it seems REALLY red and the center of it turned white (looks somewhat like a really bad pimple now). Unhook her, and she's fine. I know she's always a little nervous on the ground, no matter how tolerant she is and how much she lets me touch her, etc. She doens't resist handling EXCEPT for when she's on the cross-ties. What can I do to get Cleo to FULLY trust me and trust the cross-ties? (Mainly me; I can live without the cross-ties, I just don't want my baby to be scared.)

I used to do a lot of work on landfill sites as an electrician servicing the water pumps. When rain falls on the area the leechate has to be pumped off to avoid poisoning local water courses. Anyway, the fill sites were turned over once every thirty years or so and in some parts you could still read the newspaper print as it still hadn't broken down. There was a big problem with gulls flying all over the place, scavenging for food and sometimes getting caught up in machinery. The methane given off by the waste was sometimes pumped up from the ground and used to power electric generators and or detonated in a unit used to scare the birds off. Most likely thing to see in landfill would have to be the plastic bag... millions of 'em, usually stuffed with food packaging. Second would be plastic bottles, not sure of exact numbers or ratios but that made up most of what you could see. The sites were being dug up to retrieve metals from cans as the price of scrap metal went up to such an extent it became economically viable to do it. Fortunately recycling is becoming more popular these days and if people do their bit, can reduce the burden to find somewhere else to ditch it. These holes are pretty big ya know, and they fill up quick too.

Actually they are geared towards preventing the effects, which would be attacks. It would be nice if we could deal with the cause because ultimately to eradicate a particular form of terrorism you must remove the root cause. The problem though, especially in the case of Islamic Fundamentalists is that we cannot remove the cause without providing the eventual goal. with a guy deployed in Iraq on a 15 month tour in the US Army we began talking fairly steadily online/phone/email during the end of april which was near the end of his stay there. So 3 days ago I got this haircut that my friend recommended. Straight across bangs and a length a little longer than shoulder length. Mind you I have wavy curly hair. I used to have hair p the and a side part with bangs past my chin. It looked good and I had so many hair styles to choose from. Now it seems I can only straighten my hair to keep it looking like I just rolled out of a biker gang and don't give a damn what I look like. I let my boys explore just about anything that I know can not harm them such as unburned candles, my flowers, home decor..It is always under my supervision od course! I have found that if I let them exlpore the new things and let them know that it is mommys "prettys" that they do not mess with it much rather than them just wondering what is it and what it's for and does. I have had great success with this technique and I will continue to use it unless it no longer works. When I take them to the store I try to let them see the new things and tell them about them that way I hope that they will not mess with them on the shelves...I may not do everything the right way, but who's to say what the right way is? I do what works best with my family.

for the past two weeks I have been super congested. I have been to the emergency room once and follow up apointments with my doctor. They all said that I am fine amd it's seasonal allergies. The only thing is whenever I eat or drink water I have trouble swallowing and breathing. It feels like I'm going to choke. I feel like I get a bucnh of mucus built up and my throat is coated. I always have the urge to swalloe to get rid of it. Sometimes the mucus feels overwhelming and it creates pressure. When the crochet instructions tell you to do a stitch "in the cluster", what does that mean exactly.?
