Is Yahoo Messenger worth downloading if I use Answers a lot?

I'm not sure if I'll get a lot of people wanting to talk to me based upon my questions and answers, but I'd like to be available to them. If I only want messenger for this purpose, is it worth downloading? Do you get a lot of IMs from people on Answers?
