Which progressive country can my wife and i easily go to (as tourists) and job hunt for sponsored work?

We know of people who've gone to the US as tourists, found employers willing to sponsor their visa and stayed on once their papers were taken cared of.i'm a christian lebanese (greek orthodox) and my wife is philipino. we are now in beirut but the economy is very bad, country is politically unstable--we are in a hurry to leave. the philippines doesnot offer us much financially or workwise but we might have no choice but to go there soon.God help me i just want to be able to provide for my family and live somewhere peaceful with opportunities for hardworking people. Does anyone know any other country where we can easily go as tourists and then find sponsored employment (to get working visa)? i am not sure if we can get visas to the US because of our nationalities. if anyone can give good advice please we are desperate
