Creationism Taught in schools?

I am doing a persuasive research paper on Creationism being taught in schools. Here is my thesis: Although many believe evolution is the only way to teach students about how the earth and humans came to be, Creationism and other religious beliefs should be taught as alternate theories in public schools because students should have the right to decide what they believe for themselves, students should have more liberal education on what other cultures belives and because of what the 1st amendment of the U.S. Constitution says.
